Happy Earth Day, and a shop Update!

Happy Earth Day! I could wax on for days about the reasons that I love vintage; but one of the best reasons to love it is that you are saving used clothing from sitting around in landfills! The United States is the world's largest exporter of textile waste (and garbage in general). Buying vintage is just one sacrifice (ha, POOR ME) we can make to mitigate the horrendous amount of damage we've already inflicted on our home.

Buying cheap, mass produced garments can be very gratifying, but in the long run my 60 year old dresses hold up a lot better, and they usually look better! There's a heck of a lot more to caring for the earth than buying used clothes, but at least you don't have to feel guilty about your shopping habits. I was just kidding about about the sacrifice part by the way.

Here are a bunch of new ways that you can be a good shopper:

  1. Happy Earth day to you!
Buying vintage is definitely one sacrifice I love to make too. ;)

LOVE the cream lacey dress. It's beautiful!

  2. Where are those canvas loafers in your shop!?
