Yesterday was a day that will live in vintage infamy. I set an appointment to go check out some vintage that a well known NYC based designer was unloading, not expecting to come away with a lot. In fact, I took the subway into the city because I was pretty sure I'd just buy a few things for myself. Much to my surprise, I walked into an entire room full of the most beautiful, colorful prints I've ever seen... and wall to wall racks of dresses! The designer was unloading a portion of her collection of clothing that she had purchased as inspiration for her line- so everything was a really special print, cut, or material.
I went a little crazy and literally bought an entire packed rack of stuff yesterday, and am not the least bit sorry. Vintage scores like this only happen once in a great while, and I made the best of it. Here's a little sneak peek at my loot- watch out for all this amazingness entering the shop, and come check it out in person at Artists and Fleas on the weekends if you can!

ReplyDeletePlease tell me you bought that leopard purse!! What an amazing opportunity, sounds like one of those 'top 5 vintage moments' to me. I'm still shocked at how much great stuff you can find in NYC, I figured it would be so competitive to find affordable vintage there.
